Meet #TeamENA: Brittany, Graphic Design Intern

At ENA, we pride ourselves on helping young minds grow by partnering with Monmouth University to offer local students real-life experience. Lucky for us, senior Brittany Bowling, graphic and interactive design major at Monmouth University, came our way and has been helping make our creative concepts engaging realities. Our ideas are brought to life by our extremely talented creative team. And let’s face it, great brands are made by great people like Brittany.

Learn more about Brittany in our ENA Q&A:

Q: Do you have any favorite classes at Monmouth University?

A: My favorite class would probably be the motion graphics/animation class I took. I always loved all of my design classes, but when I got into the motion class, I was challenged to advance my skills and learn new programs. Motion graphics ended up becoming my favorite aspect of design and the area in which I’d love to further my career.

Q: How do you stay creative as a graphic designer?

A: I am always looking for inspiration. It’s almost dangerous for me to drive because I get easily distracted by a well-designed billboard, or even poorly designed billboards, and I wonder how I could make that sign better. I continue to paint and draw in my spare time, so as not to lose my hand skills. Staying in touch with fine art is essential to being creative as a designer.

Q: If you could do another job for one day, what would it be?

A: I would love to cut movie trailers. I absolutely love watching movie trailers almost more than watching movies, and I think it would be super exciting to create them. I would also love to be a singer. I sing all the time; however, I have zero musical talent.

Q: What’s the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?

A: Is this after paying off all my student loans? Ha ha! I would probably buy a few houses first. I have family all over the country and would love to have various houses in those areas.

Q: If you were stuck on an island, what three things would you bring?

A: I would most definitely have to bring my cat. She’s obviously my best friend, and I obviously am a crazy cat lady. I would probably bring my iPad because I have a few great books downloaded at the moment. And I would bring my backpack, because I have so many essentials in there at all times that I’d have a problem surviving without it.
